Turkish festival celebrates food, art, culture in Agawam

AGAWAM, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The Turkish community put on an festival to celebrate their culture featuring all kinds of Turkish dishes and art on Sunday.

The annual event, which took place at School Street Park, lasted for eight hours, with the entire day filled with bringing different communities together.

“Its fantastic, like I said, I learned a lot about the culture today, watched some fascinating water painting, something I’ve never even heard of before,” expressed Mayor Chris Johnson.

The event was free for anyone who wanted to attend and is set to return next June.
